YOUNG gun Tom McDermott's star has continued to rise.
The Wagga Wagga rider took out the 1.40m Grand Prix at the ActewAGL Showjumping Cup in Canberra last month, riding CP Romantic Dream.
Emma Smith, from Camden, was runner-up, riding the chestnut stallion Casablanca, while local Grant Hughes, riding Yakity Yak, was third.
McDermott, 18, also won the 1.30m class and the Young Rider Championship, riding Capone, to complete another successful weekend in the showjumping arena.
Stephen Dingwall, from Murrumbateman, won the 1.30m Atech Cup Championship, riding Cavalier Bryn. He also won the 1.20m championship on Good Golly Miss Molly.
Milly Clarke, from Nowra, won the Junior Championship on Eclipse, as well as two 1.05m classes and the 1.15m class.
Sydney rider James Arkins won the 1.20m one-rounder on TJ Cosamo and the Young Rider class riding Dreamtime Invader.
Canberra's Jess Sciannimanica won the open 1.20m class on Cosmorex Coffee Latte; Josh Laurie from Yass won Saturday's junior class on Everquest; Michael Lees from Bungendore and Grant Hughes won the 1.40m Championship on Yakity Yak; Ces Staples from Cooma won the 1.15m class riding Power Ranger; and Sandra Kenny from Bega won the 1.25m class on Alando.
