TRY this delicious recipe for novel apple pudding sent in by Gwen Timmins of Haven.
NOVEL APPLE PUDDING
- 4 cooking apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 tbspns self-raising flour
- 1 tbspn butter or margarine
- Pinch of salt
Peel, core and roughly chop the apples.
Rub the butter into the flour. Add the sugar, salt, then water.
Mix together lightly and pour over the apples.
Bake for 35 minutes in a moderate oven. Serve hot or cold with cream or ice-cream.
