WEST Australian farmers have set a new record for deliveries to bulk handler CBH Group.
Receivals yesterday pushed the total tonnage for this season over the previous record of 14,695,321 tonnes set in 2003-04.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences estimated the crop that year to be 16.683 million tonnes.
CBH said grain was continuing to flow into its storages.
CBH group's operations general manager Colin Tutt said every zone had exceeded delivery expectations, along with the pre-harvest forecast of 13.5 million tonnes.
Mr Tutt said the harvest had "tested us all".
"We have seen significant rain delays, quality issues requiring extensive use of Falling Number machines, bins filling and closing and challenges in moving grain to port," he said.
