PERFECT barbecue weather will give Victorians even more reason to celebrate this Australia Day.
The Herald Sun reports that regional Victoria can look forward to sunny skies; the forecast for Geelong is 24C, Ballarat, 26C, Bendigo, 32C, and Shepparton, 34C.
Temperatures up to 26C are expected for Melbourne with little wind and a few clouds.
Meanwhile, Melbourne will sizzle today and tomorrow as temperatures head to 34C on both days.
Wednesday will be a more bearable 29C before the heat returns for the weekend.
Weather bureau forecaster Michael Halfpenny said it would be a typical summer week, with Thursday's mid-20s forecast likely to be the coolest day.
