THE chance to comment on the citrus industry's draft Strategic Research and Development Plan closes on Friday.

The five-year plan will direct how Horticulture Australia spends up to $30 million in levy funds, voluntary contributions and matched funding from the Federal Government.

The plan aims to develop and maintain market opportunities, increase product value and improve efficiency and sustainability.

John Runting appointed

A NEW field officer for eastern Victoria has been appointed by the Vegetable Growers Association of Victoria.

John Runting replaces Slobodan Vujovic, who now works for Compost Victoria.
