RUTHERGLEN Hereford stud Redgate is about to notch up its 10th export destination for genetics.
A Hereford breeder from South Africa has purchased one of the Redgate bulls.
Director Robert O'Reilly said overseas clients were looking for figures as well as structural soundness in the genetics they bought.
"Breedplan is not used in all countries, but its fundamental principles are well understood," he said.
"It's pretty basic - no data, no deal."
Redgate exported semen last year to Ireland, Scandinavia and UK.
