EASTERN Riverina Hereford and Poll Hereford studs Yukon Park and Tumulla sold bulls to $6000 at their first on-property sale.
Vendors Barry and Lyn Peel hosted the sale at Tarcutta on February 15.
Of the 31 polled and horned bulls offered, 11 were sold to a top of $6000, average of $3250 and gross of $35,750.
Ian Durkin, Mountain Valley Poll Hereford Stud, Coolatai, NSW, bought the top price bull Yukon Park Profiler.
Mr Peel said the 21-month-old polled bull weighed 945kg and was a “soft sire’’.
“All buyers who registered bought bulls, including Tasmania,’’ he said.
“Ten bulls went into commercial herds at Cooma, Adelong, Gundagai and Tumut.
“All commercial buyers, bar one, were new clients.’’
