WITH farmers now leaning toward larger seeding and tillage implements, the demand for high-performance tractors has increased.

Case IH has once again delved into the goody bag and is offering an additional incentive to prospective buyers.

Up for grabs is the chance to win one of two brand new Alfa Romeo sports cars with every purchase of a Magnum, Steiger or Quadtrac tractor.

Valued at just under $47,000, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1750 QV provides 175kW (235hp) of pure performance locked in a distinctive, stylised sports car.

Case IH product manager Tim Fanning said customers had to order a new Magnum, Steiger or Quadtrac tractor by March 31 to enter the draw to win one of two Giuliettas.

"It's only open to Case IH customers who purchase these tractor models before the end of March. It's a short window of opportunity and we are talking about a specialised segment of the market rather than a high-volume one," Tim said.

The Magnum, Steiger and Quadtrac tractors were ideal for seeding and tillage, and the bigger the implement the better, he said.

"Case IH launched all new models of the Magnum, Steiger and Quadtrac last year, including the most powerful Case IH tractors ever offered: the Magnum 340 at 253 engine kW (290kW peak) and the Steiger and Quadtrac 600 at 453 engine kW (500 peak kW)," Tim said.
