A FEW weeks ago we ran a picture of an old bomb for sale that we spotted near Dunnolly with a $4000 price tag.
"They're dreamin'," we said, suggesting there were too many zeros after the four. But Denis Hutchins, who owned the 1977 ute, called us last week to say it had been sold and, while it didn't make the $4000, he got a respectable $2500.
Apparently a passer-by who is into vintage Datsuns decided he just had to have it.
Which led us to wonder, how many years have to pass before something moves from old, daggy and worthless to "vintage" with a hefty price tag?
