SUE O'Shannessy from Chesney Vale sent in this delicious recipe for a jellied apple pudding. 

JELLIED APPLE PUDDING

  • 4 cooking apples
  • 2 tbspns butter
  • 5 tbspn self-raising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Peel and core the apples, then slice them and place in a greased dish.

Rub the butter into the flour and add the sugar.

Add the salt and water. Stir well and pour over the apples.

Bake for about one hour in a moderate oven.
