UPDATE: TWO information meetings will be held tonight in Portland to update residents about the chemical spill in the Port of Portland.
The CFA this afternoon announced two information sessions, one for business owners at 7pm and the second session for residents will start at 7.30pm.
Both meetings will be held at the Fawthrop Community Centre, Hood St, Portland.
A CFA statement said crews were continuing to monitor the hazardous incident and the Liquid Pitch Facility was leaking at four tonnes an hour with a total of 250 tonnes of bitumen spilled so far.
The statement said there were currently no toxic vapours in the air.
The port is closed and there are several road closures in the area.
Businesses on Portland's foreshore have re-opened.
The statement said a ship from Newcastle was being sent to Portland to empty the tank, sandbagging had been conducted to protect a pump house and heater at the incident scene and a backhoe was removing material that had solidified.
