A BUSHFIRE that was burning out of control in Perth's hills has been contained.
Firefighters and aerial support saved homes in Armadale after the fire had threatened streets in the eastern Perth suburb for up to three hours from midday yesterday.The Fire and Emergency Services Authority says two sheds, a boat and a fire tanker were damaged.
Fire crews also brought a blaze under control at Yallingup in WA's southwest, after holiday makers and residents had been forced to evacuate when a campfire accidentally sparked an outbreak in surrounding bushland.
