IT'S March and racing fans are excited. The machines are getting a final tune and the drivers are revved up.
Yes, it's time for the biggest racing event of the year - the Victorian Wheelie Bin Championships at Thoona.
The little town near Wangaratta will again host its annual street race on March 24 to find the fastest wheelie bin on two wheels.
Well actually, you can have four wheels, which most competitors opt for, but two of them must be original, according to organiser and Thoona publican Daniel Wells.
Competitors must use at least two-thirds of a bin in the construction and have no animal, mechanical or motorised assistance.
Because that would be wheelie unfair.
