IAN Lee from Kyneton is a collector of rural bric-a-brac and one example is this horseshoe embedded in an old tree branch.
Ian is not sure of its origins - he has about 10,000 items to keep track of - but reckons someone has nailed it to a tree and then forgotten about it, the wood growing around the shoe as the tree matured.
It's certainly something to hang your hat on.
