IT SEEMS we have moved on from giant eggs to the deformed variety.
Val Asmus, of Wy Yung, alerted us to this crumpled specimen following the banana-shaped effort from Meg Parkinson's chooks.
"This was laid just before April Fool's Day," Val says. "It was a like a bit of bread dough, but hard like egg shell. And yes, there was a little yolk inside it."
AND to prove eggs don't have the oddity market cornered, comes this pumpkin from Richard Armstrong at Merricks.
He was perplexed when he came across this crown prince pumpkin in his patch.
"I think it must be a crown princess strain," Richard says.
