A LUCKY driver has escaped unharmed after a train collided with his car trailer in Trafalgar overnight.
Eight fire crews responded to the collision at 7pm at the crossing on Ashby St.
The vehicle was a Jim’s Mowing trailer and 25 firefighters responded to clean up phosphate and fuel which had spilled from the trailer.
No passengers were injured in the crash which occurred on the Warragul line eastbound.
Buses replaced the train and the service returned to normal this morning.
