A TEENAGE boy has been arrested in NSW following a grassfire at Quakers Hill vineyard.
At about 11.30am yesterday a member of the public witnessed a teenager crouched down and allegedly acting suspiciously on O'Connell St.
It is alleged the boy moved away and the witness noticed a fire in grassland.
The witness tried to detain the boy.
Firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Police officers later arrested the teenager and took him to Quakers Hill Police Station.
The boy was charged with cause or set fire to property of another person or Crown.
He was granted bail and is expected to appear at the Parramatta Children's Court at the end of this month.
