THE Weekly Times is today launching a campaign to get things fixed. To right some wrongs and return some faith to the country.
We are kicking off the IT'S BROKE! FIX IT campaign to highlight those projects or causes that have slipped through the cracks and deserve the attention of the authorities.
- TELL US WHAT NEEDS FIXING
- Leave your comments in the form below or email them to wtimes@theweeklytimes.com.au
And not just attention, but real action.
It may be a school that desperately needs facilities, a system that has broken down, a country hall that needs funds, a railway crossing safety upgrade, a dilapidated bridge that requires strengthening or a mess that needs cleaning up.
It could be a local project or a statewide issue, but most of all it needs to be fixable. And this is how we will do it.
First, tell us what needs fixing. From these we will select a number to highlight in weekly profiles.
And from that point, we will give the relevant authority 12 months to fix the problems.
Every few months we will publish a score card for each project, informing readers of the progress of the campaign.
And in 12 months we will reveal what has been fixed - and what is still broken.
And who did or didn't do anything about it.
