UPDATE: A 71-YEAR-OLD man has died after being pinned under an elevated grain auger on his farm near Euroa, in the North East.
He was found by a family member on the Molka farm about 5.30pm yesterday.
WorkSafe investigators will return to the farm today.
It is believed an electric winch used to support the machine collapsed while the man was doing maintenance work on it.WorkSafe was notified of the incident about 6pm.
It continues a string of deaths on rural properties in Victoria recently.
Last month a 58-year-old Murchison man lost control of his quad bike, which was towing a trailer full of wood.
And last Sunday a 77-year-old Noorat farmer died when the ute he was working in went over an embankment and into a quarry that backed on to his property.
