EVERYTHING old is new again in the Gippsland Football League.

Two of the league's 10 clubs have reappointed former coaches for another stint at the helm next season.

Former AFL player Ashley Green will once again lead Warragul, the club at which he played his junior footy.

Green, who notched up 25 games for the Brisbane Bears in 1992-93, led the Gulls to a premiership in the West Gippsland Latrobe league in 2003 during a five-year stint as playing coach.

He also played four seasons with SANFL club West Adelaide after his time at the Bears ended, and led Pakenham to a flag in 2000.

The 39-year-old has spent recent seasons assisting Gippsland Power's TAC Cup team.

Gippsland league newcomer Bairnsdale has also looked to the past for its new leader, signing Shaun Mooney on a two-year deal.

Mooney led the Redlegs to flags in 2009 and 2010 in the East Gippsland league, before heading north to test his coaching skills at Corowa-Rutherglen in the higher standard Ovens and Murray league.

In other Gippsland league coaching changes, Traralgon has appointed former star forward Paul McCulloch to its senior coaching slot.

McCulloch spent the 2012 season assisting his younger brother Sam at Yinnar in the Mid Gippsland league.

Morwell signed former VFL player Harmit Singh as its coach in September.

Singh, 25, was a playing assistant coach at Castlemaine in the Bendigo league this year and has played VFL with the Bendigo Bombers and Collingwood.

He has signed on as the Tigers' senior coach for the next two seasons.

Outgoing Wonthaggi Power coach Leigh McDonald will be replaced by Rob Railton, according to Gippsland league general manager Chris Soumilas, while Rob Johns will be non-playing senior coach at Drouin.

Hayden Burgiel, in his second stint at the helm of Maffra, will remain in the top job next season.

Premier Sale has also retained its coach, former St Kilda player Matthew Ferguson, while ex-Richmond defender Will Thursfield will lead Leongatha for a second consecutive season.

Jason MacFarlane is staying on as coach of Moe.
