UPDATE: A SEARCH for three people missing in a national park in western NSW has located the body of a 33-year-old man.
However, his friends - a 21-year old male and a 24-year-old woman - were found alive in the Mutawintji National Park, about 150km northeast of Broken Hill.
Emergency services were alerted to the missing trio when the woman made contact about midday yesterday, stating she was lost after a car crash.
She told police she had left the two men near a waterhole in the park, but the call dropped out before more details could be provided.
Using GPS coordinates, rescue crews were able to get to the car about 8pm yesterday, but there was no sign of the people.
The woman was found in "reasonable health" this morning after walking to Acacia Downs, almost 20km away from her vehicle.
This afternoon, the 33-year-old man was found dead near the waterhole and the 21-year-old was located 15km north-east of the Bondi water tank suffering from exposure.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for minor injuries.
