FIFTEEN jobs will be axed from Murray Goulburn Co-operative's Leongatha factory.The company confirmed to Weekly Times Now this afternoon that "confidential consultation" with staff started earlier this month about its plans for the site.
The company said the plans would be implemented over the next three months as the site was upgraded.
"We can confirm that 15 roles have been identified for redundancy towards the end of January as processing facilities are upgraded. The roles are predominantly in the area of specialty protein manufacture."
The site is the company's leading UHT facility.
