HERE'S a story for those who reckon the media never reports good news.
The boys and girls of the Wycheproof SES must have been really, really good this year because Santa has come early.
After 12 years of getting the volunteers around as they clean up after storms and floods, the unit's Rodeo ute badly needed replacing. So they applied to GrainCorp for a contribution towards a new ute.
The next thing they know, Santa, aka Graincorp's Scott Whitmore (pictured above) turns up and presents a new Toyota Hilux to Wycheproof SES volunteers Cameron Arnel, Stuart Foord and Jodi Munro-Foord.
"We were shocked and delighted," Cameron said. Next year they're going to wish for a helicopter.
