TV personality Bert Newton will undergo quadruple bypass heart surgery in Melbourne.
Mr Newton is at Melbourne's Epworth hospital, where he will undergo the five-and-a-half hour surgery at 6am tomorrow, the Nine Network said.
"I couldn't say I'm scared (but) apprehensive," he told Nine on Friday.
Mr Newton's family are by his bedside in a private hospital room.
"Things like this, it does depend on attitude," he said.
"I think I have a good attitude and a very positive attitude, which is important.
"I got a family that I want to be with for a long time."
