BANKSIA Financial Group receiver McGrathNicol will now host an investor meeting in Kyabram after a backlash from the township.
Locals were furious when only two sessions were flagged for Ballarat and Shepparton, leaving many elderly Kyabram residents - who face losing thousands of dollars - unable to attend.
Kyabram Ratepayers Association vice-president Allan Weeks estimated 70 per cent of the town had investments with Banksia.
McGrathNicol is understood to have initially rejected calls for a third meeting to be held in the town but later sent debenture holders a letter saying it was "considering making available a live podcast of the information session".
Mr Weeks described that offer as "totally unacceptable".
"Most of these elderly people don't have internet. It's insulting," he said.
Last week, McGrathNicol announced it would hold a meeting at Kyabram on December 14, at a time to be advised.
Receiver Tony McGrath said Kyabram "was always under consideration".
