A PERSON died in the early hours of this morning following a car crash in Hamilton.

Investigators believe a car was travelling on Mount Baimbridge Road towards the Hamilton township when it is thought to have lost control and rolled several times.

A person died at the scene and a teenager was taken to Hamilton Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Mount Baimbridge Rd is expected to be closed in both directions from Beveridge’s Rd to Kenny’s Rd this morning.

The accident takes Victoria’s road toll to 261 this year.
