THE threat to lives and homes from a fire in the Barossa Valley has reduced, the CFS says. The fire, first reported around midday, was burning out of control at Coppermine Rd east of Truro near Coppermine Rd and the Sturt Hwy.
The CFS said the threat to safety has since reduced, but residents are being told some risks are still present - including smoke and falling trees.
Residents are also urged to check their property for any fires and embers - particularly in roof spaces, under decks, raised floors and in gutters.
The fire was burning in stubble. Visit the CFS website for more details or call the Bushfire Information Hotline on 1300 362 361.
