UPDATE: A GRASS and scrub fire on North Stradbroke Island has been downgraded but authorities have warned it could flare again.
Four caravans were razed at Myora Springs by the fire yesterday, as well as a large shed and cars.
A separate fire burning on the island destroyed a demountable home.
A spokesperson for Queensland Fire and Rescue says the blaze is still very active.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe fire danger warning for the Channel Country, reaching extreme in the west.
