VISITORS to the isolated Macknade Golf Course in North Queensland don't need a course map to get around.
They just have to follow Nugget, the canine caddie.
The seven-year-old Border Collie has become a fixture at the course and whenever anyone turns up he trots over to greet the guests and then leads them around.
Nugget belongs to Paul and Caroline Britton, who live nearby.
He waits for the golfers to tee off then races down the fairway and waits behind the flag on the green.
When one hole is finished he guides the players to the next.
Wonder if he chases the birdies?
