PRICES held firm at the final Yea store cattle sale of the year.

With 2000 cattle penned, prices across the yards were in line with recent local markets, however older steers were tougher to shift.

Rodwell's Pakenham agent Anthony Delaney said it was a solid result and the smaller cattle sold well.

One of the drawcards of the sale was the final dispersal of the Cumming Pastoral Company commercial Angus herd.

At the top of the draft were 11, 2010-drop Angus cows depastured to Connamarra and Campbell Farm bulls which sold for $1160.

Steers in the 12 to 24-month-old range sold from $590-$840, while those from nine- to 11-months-old sold from $500-$695.
