THE final turbine at the Macarthur wind farm in south west Victoria has been completed.
The wind farm, owned by AGL Energy and Meridian Energy is due to start producing electricity early next year, following a testing period.
Macarthur grazier Tom Robertson, who was at a ceremony to celebrate the completion said he went looking for wind farms ten years ago.
"I would love for my father to still be alive to see it. I am sure he would approved,'' Mr Robertson said.
The wind farm is expected to create enough electricity to power 220,000 homes each year.
