A MAN has died in a far north Queensland hospital from stab wounds, in the second suspicious death in the state overnight.
Police say a 43-year-old man was taken to Croydon Hospital, in the state's far north, about 12.30am (AEST) this morning after he was stabbed in the chest during a brawl.Police say the death is being treated as suspicious and a 43-year-old man is assisting with inquiries.
Earlier in the night, a man was found dead in a unit at Mackay in circumstances police are also describing as suspicious.
