HOBART children will be the first to get their presents with Santa starting his Aussie Christmas night trek in the island city.Santa will spread his good cheer from the southeast, making his way to Hobart before heading north to the mainland and criss-crossing his way around Australia.
Santa's flight path has been revealed by air traffic control services provider Airservices today.
Airservices spokesman Rob Walker said air traffic controllers had a special role to play in helping Santa navigate Australian airspace.
Saint Nick's journey has been given the green light for Christmas Eve with the big red man's flight path cleared and pilots put on notice to watch out for Santa and his sleigh, he said.
Kids can track Santa's journey on the big night on the Airservices website, www.airservicesaustralia.com/santa, or its Facebook page.
