A 14-YEAR-OLD boy from Scotland has died while on a hiking trip with his father in WA.
The boy became dehydrated while walking along the Badjirrajirra Creek yesterday, about 20km south of Exmouth.
Police say the teenager collapsed after about four hours of walking with little water or shade.
Police responded to emergency calls from the boy's 49-year-old father, only to find the pair about 700m down a gully near the Badjirrajirra car park.
The boy was rushed to Exmouth Hospital by ambulance but died that evening.
