IT'S been a grueling week for Geelong players, who spent the week training at Falls Creek.

While other AFL clubs, including North Melbourne, Collingwood and and the Gold Coats Suns, made the trip across the Pacific Ocean for high altitude camps in the United Sates, the Cats instead chose to explore their own backyard.

For the second year running, Geelong's younger brigade were put through their paces at the Victorian Alpine resort, giving players a chance to break out of the routine of normal pre-season training.

Running, riding and of course football drills were all done with the high-country providing the perfect backdrop.
