A MAN has been shot in the hip during an argument on a rural property near Gladstone.

Police could not say how many times the 35-year-old was shot, but his injuries were not life threatening.

The shooting happened at Yarwun, just outside Gladstone, about 2.30am after a dispute involving two men broke out.

A 23-years old man, who suffered cuts to his hand and foot during the incident, is assisting police with their investigations.
