A PRISONER who escaped from a jail in western Victoria has been arrested after less than two days on the run.
A 44-year-old Werribee woman was also arrested.
Both are in custody and are assisting police with their inquiries.
The man allegedly escaped from the minimum security Langi Kal Kal Prison at Trawalla some time between 9pm on Wednesday and 7am yesterday.
He had been jailed for theft and burglary offences.
