UPDATE: A BODY has been found not far from where a woman disappeared from a boat in Sydney.
The body was found at Rose Bay, several hours after a 49-year-old woman was reported missing from a boat at Vaucluse.
The woman was with her husband and two children on the boat in Vaucluse about midnight , but they left her to go to bed, police said.
The man went to check on his wife about 2am, but discovered she was missing.
Police were contacted and a search began involving local command officers and water police, with assistance from a life saver helicopter and vessel.
A body was found at 6.30am. Police have yet to formally identify the body.
The boat has been towed to Balmain for examination.
