POLICE divers have recovered the body of a man who dived into a lake to try to save two children who had gotten into trouble in a dinghy.
The 34-year-old Cranbourne West man disappeared as he tried to reach an 11-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, whose dinghy became stuck in reeds on Lysterfield Lake at Narre Warren.Despite the efforts of two other men to help him, he disappeared under the water at around 4pm.
Police say police divers recovered his body at 8.40pm last night.
