RESCUE crews are searching a bushfire area in southern NSW for a farm manager who hasn't been seen for a day.
An air attack helicopter has been tasked to search for the man near a fire that is burning 13km east of Bungendore, near the Kings Highway.
Police are also assisting in the search.
The farm manager from Berkendale property hasn't been seen since 2pm (AEDT) yesterday.
The 1000ha fire is being brought under control as weather conditions ease.
The Rural Fire Service (RFS) has not expressed alarm over the man's whereabouts and there is no indication he is in trouble.
A total of 141 bushfires continue to burn across the state, with 31 of those considered out of control.
More than 2000 firefighters are taking advantage of cooler conditions today.
But yesterday's heatwave still lingers in northern NSW where some areas are suffering from 40-plus degree conditions.
No homes are under immediate threat but crews have positioned themselves between fire fronts and the dwellings in the areas.
