BOB Katter will announce his party's plans to contest Victorian federal seats in this year's election and their policies in Bendigo tomorrow.
Katter's Australian Party so far intends to field candidates in the rural seats of Bendigo, Corangamite, McEwen and Latrobe and metro electorates of Deakin and Melbourne Ports.The party is running their state conference tomorrow in Bendigo.
Federal Member for Kennedy Mr Katter will announce the party's key Victorian priorities after the conference.
Katter's Australian Party state co-ordinator Norm Dunn said he believed they would have "strong candidates for several seats''.
"We're expecting a good turn up on the weekend, probably about 40 people at this stage,'' he said.
Nominations for KAP candidates closed on January 31st, Mr Dunn said.
The party announced last September that it would expand across Australia, following its success in the Queensland state election.
It now has two Queensland state and one federal sitting members of parliament.
