WHO said wool keeps you cool? Helen Case's little flock of Dorpers gets top-shelf treatment when it comes to the heat.
During the recent scorcher two Fridays ago, Helen set up an airconditioner under the shaded pergola of her house in Nar Nar Goon to keep her girls cool.
"There are no trees in the paddock and the girls have not yet dropped all of their winter coats so with the heatwave we are having in Victoria I thought it best to provide some relief."
The four ewes and two lambs are well trained and come running up to the house whenever the mercury creeps above 35C. They stand in front of the airconditioner when Helen turns it on.
Blimey, they'll be wanting electric blankets for the winter next.
