FIRE-affected farms, businesses and charities near Ballarat will be offered low interest government loans of up to $200,000.
In a move from the Victorian and federal governments, loans will be offered to primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profit organisations affected in the Chepstowe and Carngham fires last week.
The fires destroyed nine homes, including an historic homestead, and consumed more than 1300ha.
Between 600 and 1000 livestock also perished in the fires.
The governments have already made available hardship assistance of up to $480 per adult and $240 per child up to a maximum of $1200 per household to cover emergency shelter, food, clothing, or personal items.
