THE University of Melbourne has offered 90 students places in the Bachelor of Agriculture course.
That is an increase of 87 per cent on the previous year.
School of Environment Dean Professor Rick Roush said the figures showed a renewed interest in agricultural careers.
Students can also study agriculture as a major in the Bachelor of Science course.
