LOCAL bike riders have found the body of a 24-year-old motorcyclist more than 30 hours after he was apparently thrown from his motorbike.
His body was found after apparently leaving a party in the Hunter region.
Police say the mountain bikers came across the body of the man in bushland about 11am yesterday.
Investigators believe the body had lain next to the mangled bike in bush by the side of the road for around 31 hours.
It's believed the rider left a party about 4am on Thursday and crashed into a tree at high speed not long after.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
