GOULBURN Murray Water will close two offices in Shepparton and move staff to Tatura from next month.

The staff from the former Northern Victoria Irrigation Renewal Project offices in Shepparton will be located at the Department of Primary Industries site in Tatura from February 4.

The offices in Shepparton will be closed on February 1.

One hundred staff will be located at the DPI site in Ferguson Rd.

G-MW managing director Gavin Hanlon said the move would give customers greater access to staff involved with the G-MW Connections Project, formerly known as NVIRP.

NVIRP is a $2 billion irrigation infrastructure upgrade project.

Mr Hanlon said the move to the DPI was part of plans to streamline the business.

"Relocating the Goulburn-Murray Water staff to the Department of Primary Industries also gives us the opportunity to rationalise our assets," Mr Hanlon said.
