A MAN has been placed in an induced coma after he was savagely bashed in Victoria’s east.
The 51-year old was assaulted with a weapon at an industrial building on the Bruthen-Buchan Rd in Buchan sometime between 5am and 6.30am on Tuesday.
The Buchan man, who suffered multiple fractures to his head and body, was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for public assistance to help identify the man’s attacker.
