UPDATE: MORE than 40,000 votes have been recorded in Weekly Times Now's poll on duck hunting.
Animal welfare groups have overwhelmed hunters in a campaign for supporters to respond to Weekly Times Now's online survey.

A massive vote on the weekend saw support on the question "should duck hunting be banned'', completely change.
For four days the tally had been running strongly in favour of duck hunting but this was reversed over the long weekend.
Today the figures show 66 per cent of votes equaling 27,037 votes want duck hunting banned compared to 13,855 votes or 34 per cent of votes which want the sport to continue.
The Victorian Government has already agreed to a 12-week duck hunting season this year.
