UPDATE: A PILOT is dead after her ultralight aircraft crashed north of Brisbane yesterday.
The wreckage was found 24km northwest of Caboolture todayy, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said.The woman, in her 50s, left Caboolture on a solo joy flight to the Glass House Mountains yesterday morning and failed to return.
"This morning searchers found the wreckage of the aircraft and advised AMSA's Rescue Co-ordination Centre that the solo pilot had not survived," AMSA said in a statement.
