UPDATE: A MAN has died in a plane crash at Texas, in Queensland, the second fatal crash within 24 hours.
The plane, described as a recreational aircraft, came down 100m from the airport in the Queensland border town of Texas about 8.30am.
Police say the pilot was the only person on board and his body was found inside the aircraft.
Meanwhile investigations are continuing into an ultralight plane crash which killed two men at Timberoo, in Victoria's north west.
Early reports suggest the plane clipped powerlines after taking off from Ouyen airport about 20km away last night.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman told Weekly Times Now the service was called to Walepup Lake Rd just before 8pm because initial reports were "something was on fire in a paddock".
Police are yet to formally identify the two men who were killed on impact but believe both men are from nearby Ouyen.
MORE TO COME.
